BACKGROUND

 Each year, the African Studies and Research Forum (ASRF) shall give out awards to recipients who have been selected by the organization’s Standing Committee on Awards based on the established criteria for each of the awards.  The Chair of the Standing Committee on Awards shall issue a “Request for Nominations for the ASRF’s Awards” each year.

CALL FOR NOMINATIONS: ASRF AWARDS

The ASRF standing committee on Awards will send out calls for nominations for its major awards listed below.

The Deadline for submission of nominations will be determined by the committee. Awards will be announced at the ASRF annual International Conference. Nominations for each award category should be submitted in accordance to the eligibility and nominations guidelines described below. Questions regarding the awards process may be directed to the Chair of the ASRF Standing Committee on Awards.

• THE BEST ARTICLE PUBLISHED IN THE JOURNAL OF AFRICAN STUDIES AND RESEARCH AWARD
• THE BEST GRADUATE STUDENT PAPER AT THE ASRF ANNUAL CONFERENCE AWARD
