“THE EXCELLENCE IN ARTISTRY AND PERFORMANCE AWARD”
Nominees for the “Excellence in Artistry and Performance Award” must meet the following criteria:
1. Eligibility: Must be members of the African Studies and Research Forum (ASRF).
2. Evidence: Nominees in the below listed areas will be evaluated on the basis of the record of their publications, curated works and performances for the academic year under review.
A) Artistry– Artistic merit, demonstration of skill, ability to communicate the conceptual and formal motivation of the artwork, and/or promise as a career artist.
B) Performance– Artistic merit, demonstration of skill, ability to communicate the conceptual and formal motivation of the artwork, and/or promise as a career artist.
3. The Nomination Process: Members of the African Studies and Research Forum (ASRF) may either nominate themselves or other members for the award.
4. The Selection of the Recipient or Recipients: After reviewing the nominations for the award, the Standing Committee on Awards will choose the recipient or recipients. Thereafter, the list of the recipient or recipients shall be submitted to the President of the ASRF.
